The studio at 1920 Lincoln has one north-facing window. Every scarf passes through it — laid flat against the light, checked for evenness, then knotted by hand.

FOUR INTENTIONS · KNOTTED BY HAND
Four corners. Four intentions.
Each scarf I make is knotted at four corners. Each knot is an intention — named out loud, in the studio, while I tie.

I. Love
The first knot. Without it, nothing else holds. I tie this one slowest.

II. Happiness
Not the surface kind — the kind that stays when things go hard. I knot it tight.

FROM THE STUDIO
Some weeks I'm a maker. Some weeks I'm just a man with thread and intention.
My father died of cancer. I taught myself to sew. I made twelve scarves — kept one, gave eleven to my neighbors on the streets of Venice. That was 2012. I'm still here. I'm still making them.Every scarf that leaves my hands carries that same intention: that something beautiful can come from something hard.

Time is flying by.
Lately, I've found myself believing that our inner frequency matters more than almost anything else.
Our families are scattered farther than ever from where they began. Our attention is increasingly captured by screens designed to compete for every second of it. And somewhere along the way, many of us became experts at rehearsing futures that haven't happened.
Fear.
Uncertainty.
Doubt.
We spend remarkable amounts of energy living inside realities that don't yet exist, while giving very little attention to the energy we are creating in this moment.

THE FABRICS
Reclaimed cloth. Built for decades.
Matthew sources every fabric himself.
MODAL
The one you reach for without thinking. Cool to the touch, impossibly soft, and made to last, modal never pills and always breathes. Our quiet staple for the long days and the longer flights.
COTTON
Honest and easy, in denim, French terry, and the blends between. Naturally breathable and made for the in-between hours. The thing you pull on for the drive, the errand, the early start, and forget you are wearing at all.
LINEN
Summer, folded into cloth. Lightweight and open-weave, linen carries the warm months with ease and a little well-earned wrinkle. For slow afternoons, salt air, and anywhere the heat asks you to slow down.
SILK
Timeless, and never trying to be. Soft, light, and quietly elegant, the piece you dress up or dress down and keep for years. A little ceremony you can fold into a pocket.
